Description: This is a nice 14 karat solid yellow gold ballerina design ladies ring featuring an oval natural blue sapphire and six tapered baguette cut natural diamonds. The sapphire is set in a white gold head and measures 5.2 x 3.2 mm with an actual weight of 0.34 carat. This sapphire is a beautiful blue color; not at all the dark inky blue you so often see. The gem is borderline eye clean with a slight sheen to it, and is well cut; a nice, bright gem. This sapphire was heat treated in the usual way with a minor amount of flux healing, but it is a beautiful, natural gemstone. The diamonds have a combined weight stated by the wholesaler at 0.20 carat. These diamonds are graded at K/L color and SI-3 in clarity with good overall cut. The sapphire and the diamonds are all 100% genuine and natural, and the diamonds are untreated and unenhanced as well. Blue sapphire is September's birthstone, but this ring is a joy to own and wear regardless of your birth month! The mounting was purchased from the large wholesaler Toledo Jewelers Supply Company, who unfortunately is no longer in business. It weighs 2.7 grams. The finger size of the ring is currently 5.75, but it is easily sizable by any competent jeweler. This ring is solid gold and unworn; don't be duped into buying a cheap gold-plated ring or someone else's worn-out castoff!
