The diamonds each measure approximately 2.5 x 2.5 mm with a manufacturer's stated total weight of 0.67 carat. These diamonds are 100% natural, untreated, and unenhanced. The diamonds are nearly colorless and face up white with average color graded at G/H, average clarity graded at SI-2, and are of good overall cut. This band was manufactured by an upscale manufacturer based in Los Angeles called Kattan Jewelry that normally sells to better independent fine jewelry stores. The ring is from Kattan's "Beverly Hills" collection; style number ZA641. The ring is mainly platinum with 18 karat yellow gold trim. The platinum fineness is not stamped but should be AT LEAST 900 (90%) fineness. Platinum is a wonderful metal that is hypoallergenic (great for sensitive skin) and naturally white so never needs rhodium plating. This ring weighs a very substantial 10.9 grams. The shank tapers from 4.5 to 3.1 mm in width, with a maximum width of the ring at the gold trim areas of 5.5 mm wide. It is currently a finger size 10.25 but is easily sizable by a competent jeweler. The ring is brand new and unworn, but as you may be able to see from the photos, there is a small amount of shop wear on the ring from putting in the showcases every day and in the safe every night. Since we no longer have our shop, we don't have the tools to touch it up a little better for you; but three things you should know are: 1) The wear is minor, kind of like you'd get within a couple of weeks of normal wear. It actually looks better in person than it does in these closeup photos; 2) A jeweler could very quickly and inexpensively touch this ring up for you at any time, and; 3) Connoisseurs know that it is fully expected that platinum jewelry looks a little softer and more worn than the high polished, chrome-like look of white gold jewelry.
