Description: You are bidding on one Erik Anton Berg tang style bevel edge wood chisel with a plastic handle as pictured. There are some condition issues with the struck end of the handle, so please keep reading down to the condition paragraphs.It is marked "E A BERG ESKILSTUNA SWEDEN" with their shark logo on the back side of the blade.Width of the blade at the sharp end is about .980" or just under 1". Overall length of the chisel including the blade and handle is about 7-1/4". Length of the blade from the sharp edge to where it starts to narrow down to the neck is about 1-7/8". Condition of the blade is good, with lots of spotty patina (color) but very little pitting. Condition of the handle is fair with lots of wear at the tang (red) end, scratches in the plastic, and the struck end is quite mushroomed. SHIPPING: Under 1 pound, shipped in a padded envelope, shipped USPS Ground Advantage, insurance is included. The Post Office now has several prices increases during each year, raising a few things but not everything at each increase. And they now raise their rates during the Holidays, which means early October to late January. Their big increases are in January, timed to start at the end of the Holiday rates, and this year is no exception. And it's not just the postage rates, the insurance charges and the delivery signature charges have also gone up. There is now a surcharge for Priority Mail packages over 20" long, and another for Priority Mail packages over 30" long, because those longer packages won't fit in their automatic machines. And the Post Office has discontinued the Regional Flat Rate boxes, which were often less expensive for certain sizes and weights. I try to pick the best shipping option for each listing, based both on what is the least expensive and on what I think is needed to protect the item. If the value is $250 or over, eBay requires your signature at delivery for the buyer and seller protections to be in effect.SALES TAX: Interstate sales tax is now the reality on all the major selling websites including eBay. If I ship to a state where eBay is required to collect sales tax, eBay will charge you the sales tax for your location.
