Description: This is an original (1959) “Vintage” 49 star United States of America “Alaska Flag” (the 49th star representing the admission of Alaska into statehood in 1959 with the United States of America). The flag is affixed by three small staples to a small wooden pole with a wooden finial (wooden pole is 32” in total length including the 2.5” “Gold” colored wood finial). This flag is in outstanding condition to the point where it almost looks to be new, but it’s roughly 65 years old (manufactured in 1959), measures approximately 11.5” x 16” and is made of a thin cotton material. Absolutely vibrant colors on this 65 year old 49 star “Alaska Flag” (see pics). Flag has been stored in my climate controlled, smoke free home for decades.
