Description: This figure is a foo dog made of molded earthenware and hand painted with colorful glazes in the manner of earthenware statues of the Tang Dynasty. Being so colorful, a good size and so well finished, this is a highly decorative piece. The statue stands 10" tall on its integral base that's about 4" by 5.25". It's heavy, weighing 3.5 lbs. The piece is in excellent condition except for two chips on the back corners of the black base -- a larger one that's been repaired and another one that's tiny -- only about 1/8" in diameter. Both are shown in my photos.
