Any Slow-release fertilizer (such as this) breaks down gradually in the soil, depending on how much you water each plant, to provide a longer acting effect. The more you water, the faster it breaks down. Because of this gradual process, it may take a couple weeks (or longer) to see noticeable positive effects. As with ANY other fertilizer, 'less is more' - please do not over fertilize your plants. Over fertilizing will kill your plants. I am regularly using this product for years in my vegetable & fruit garden, flower bed and for my lawn grass roughly 4 times a year. I am very satisfied with the results. Just remember DO NOT OVER FERTILIZE, “you can always add more later, but you can't take it away!" Happy Gardening!
