There is no such thing as PURE WHITE (as white as) Bright printer paper. Many mills refer to their "solid white wool" as (bleached white) however there is NO BLEACHused in the process to "whiten up" 100% wool fleece or it would truly dissolve the wool fibers!!00% wool fabrics are milled from a specific lighter wool breed of sheep and once they are shorn, their fleece is put through a commercial grade cleaning process to remove excess oils, dirt and grime in order to "brighten up" the wool fleece. The wool is measured PRIOR to washing, giving you a full fat eighth yard per piece (or more if stated) to work with. The wool is washed & felted; ready for you to use. Each measurement stated above, is after shrinkage & felting (some pieces may vary slightly). *Note: if for example, you need a full Fat 1/4 yd. & it states there are 2 or more pieces available; click on quantity (2) Fat 1/8 yards and I will NOT cut these into separate pieces but rather keep them intact as a full Fat 1/4 yard piece. Same goes if you need a full Fat 1/2 yard piece & it states I have 4 pieces available; click on quantity (4) Fat 1/8 yards and I will NOT cut these into separate pieces either but rather keep them intact as a full Fat 1/2 yard piece. I only use new, 100% wool from the finest suppliers overseas in the Wool Mill Industry. These wools are suitable for primitive rug hooking and wool appliqué work. *NOTE: I do “combine shipping” for items paid for with one payment; however I will need to make adjustments with all these different shipping charges!! What this means is that (1) Fat 1/4 yard wool item will ship 1st class anywhere in the US for $5.50 and anywhere in Canada for $14.85; for multiple purchases add $1.75 for each additional 1/4 yard wool item or $1.25 for each additional 1/8 yard wool item. **This is a formula I came up with that accommodates the different zones & different shipping rates across the country as well as covers my handling expenses. I now add insurance to all my domestic & international packages. If a package is lost in transit & not received, please let me know right away. I cannot guarantee I can replace your entire order, but will do the best I can. If I cannot replace the full order, I will reimburse for the difference. If you are new to rug hooking and have no other resources available, I’d be happy to cut your wool into strips on your FIRST ORDER, a maximum of (4 bundles or 1 yard equivalent). However, I would be most appreciative if you would seek out your local resources for cutting (i.e. ~ friend, neighbor, guild or shop) and use me as your last resort so I may have the time to dye more wonderful shades of wool for your future projects! I can cut your wool into #6 (6/32”), #8 (1/4”), or #9 (3/8”) cut strips. Please notify me at the time of payment if you’ll need your wool cut & which size you would like & allow an additional day or two for my extra work. Do Note: once your wool has been pre-cut into wool strips & shipped to you, it is no longer eligible for exchange or refund! Also, future orders will need to be charged {$2.50 per Fat 1/4 yard bundle or yardage equivalent} to offset my time, as well as maintenance & repair costs for my cutter. I do my best to post photographs that realistically represent the colors in my hand-dyed wools & velveteen fabric. Please understand that computer monitors vary and the color representation {you personally see} may differ slightly from the original as everyone sees color differently. If you have difficulty seeing a particular color, BE SURE to adjust your computer screen/monitor for “brightness” which can improve you seeing the colors & the subtle over & undertones of each color & variations. In most cases, the colors in your wool/velveteen will be much more pleasing in person than what you see in the photo. I guarantee 100% satisfaction. Some, but not all of the “photo samples of rugs” I may display here are projects hooked by me & they are shown merely to demonstrate how my wool can be used in a rug project.
