1000 Pampas Grass Ornamental Seeds Drought Hardy Perennial Fast Growers 12 feet

Description: Pictures are of the actual plants that these seeds were recently removed from. Grown for two years in my yard in arid Northwest Oklahoma. I found the 10 to 12 foot mother plants growing in the countryside and collected some plumes. My plants are 8 to 9 feet tall at the end of their second year. That's a four foot tall fence behind them. Perennial. Cold hardy and drought resistant. Wind resistant. You will receive the seeds from 4 large plums, trimmed to fit the packaging. Easy to remove the seeds from the stems. Wear thick gloves. Estimated 1000 seeds. Easy to grow. I plant them in the spring in a one gallon milk carton with the top cut off and holes punched into the bottom. Put a few small rocks in first, to aid drainage, then fill with potting mix. Spread the seeds thickly, with the fluff attached to them over the top surface of the potting mix then cover with 1/2" more potting mix. Put them out in the sun and keep them moist until they sprout. I leave mine in the container until the roots fill it. Just cut away the container and gently remove the plug. Plant and water well the first year. I have four total and have had no problems growing them. The bugs don't seem to like them. No need to fertilize. Hardy and fast growing, especially the second year. Should be enough for four or more containers.
