Description: Over $350 value if sold separately! A 12 box Countertop Display Case (10 boxes included). Six (6) more lures, one with no hooks, whiskers or legs. Three with no whiskers. A total of 16 lures. Ten (10) box inserts including one older small insert and a bonus extremely rare and fragile cellophane wrapper with Manning printing upon it. There are six or seven different colors. This case was probably all the same as the fourth one down on the left of the main picture that I would describe as opaque shrimp. Most of the other colors are transparent. See Adrien Delbasty's Book "A Collector Guide to Louisiania Lure Companies" (pgs. 110-111). The man who made these in New Orleans was a body guard for Earl Long (1896-1960). Based on the 2 digit Zip code, these lures were made after 1961. The treble hooks were applied with a couple spots of solder to add some weight for balance. Frankly it didn't help. The dog or cat food or shrimp slurry was great for mostly cat fish, but the tendency to hang on any bottom structure and it's gangly retrieve made it mostly a loser figuratively financial for both buyer and seller and in reality. However this is a beautiful piece to display and enjoy! And good luck!
