12 PC SET HARKER POTTERY CERAMIC CHESTERTON GADROON BERMUDA BLUE

Description: This listing is for 12 pieces of Bermuda Blue dinnerware made by Harker Pottery in their Chesterton line beginning in 1949 and going through the 1950s. The rim pattern is called Gadroon, and the color is called Bermuda Blue (picture in your head Wedgewood blue). Pieces in this color can be hard to find! : 1 Cream pitcher 1 Gravy boat1 Coffee cup (invisible hairline - see detailed description and photo)2 Berry bowls (5 1/2" dia.)1 Bread plate (6" dia.)6 saucers (6" dia.) The rims are a white gadroon design. The gadroon line can be divided into two groups: Chesterton (undecorated except for its rich colors and white edge), and the colorfully decorated Royal Gadroon. This Bermuda Blue set is in the Chesterton group. It was created by spraying the surface of the clay body with a colored glaze, and then wiping the gadroon embossing to produce an edging like white lace on the colored background. No chips, cracks, or unusual wear on any of these pieces EXCEPT for an invisible hairline on the coffee cup that only appears when the cup is wet, and then disappears when it dries. Does not leak.
