Description: This 1.25 Inch Cheshire Collimator helps align the optical axes of the mirrors of a Newtonian telescope. It has similar performance to metal units costing 3X more. A Cheshire eyepiece or Cheshire collimator consists of a pinhole that is inserted into the telescope focuser in place of the eyepiece. The user, looking through the pinhole when ambient light falls on the mirrors, is able to align the secondary and the primary mirror. The white donut on the edge of the collimator facilitates alignement of a center-spotter primary mirror. The collimator is 3D-printed using matte black and white PLA plastic. Price includes shipping to CONUS.
