Emerald is May's birthstone. The oval emerald measures 6.5 x 4.9 mm (about .70 - .75 ctw) and it's a vibrant green. There are some natural imperfections in the emerald, and there is a small chip on one edge visible with a loupe. It is bordered by 5 round diamonds on each side, and 7 baguette diamonds above and below. Total carat weight is approximately 1.10 - 1.25 ctw in emerald and diamonds. The face measures 1/2" north to south and the head rises 1/4" off the hand. It is hallmarked 14k with maker's mark RJM, weighs 3.5 grams and is a size 5.75. It can be sized by a competent jeweler.
