Description: I combined a recycled bale and pearl with a new clasp, beads and stringing to make this 17" beaded necklace and pearl pendant. I work for a goldsmith and he let's me mess around with his old findings and gems. The pearl is from the Stray Pearl box. It's a freshwater pearl with an excellent (and probably dyed) silver color and graceful drop shape. My boss drilled it for me and I added the 14 karat yellow gold bale. The gold closed triangular bale is stamped "14K." The pendant is 21mm (0.8") long, including the bale. The pearl is 8.3mm in diameter. The 17" necklace is made of alternating 3mm pyrite and labradorite beads. The closure is a vermeil (gold over sterling silver) pearl clasp. The necklace and pendant can be worn separately. The pendant weighs 1.4 grams and the total weight (pendant + bead necklace) is 3.8 grams. Thanks for looking!
