The plates are 8 1/4 inches in diameter. The porcelain is molded with a basket weave pattern in low relief. The rims are slightly scalloped with gilding on the edges. Each plate is painted with a different fruit or nuts in vibrant colors. There are gooseberries, pears, plums, walnuts, grapes, lemons, and figs to name a few. The artisans had the ability to portray them so realistically. They are brimming with ripe deliciousness.
