You are bidding on 15 SWAMP BOTTLEBRUSH SEED PODS - Callistemon speciosus . Each pod has many small seeds . Also known as: Showy bottlebrush and Albany Bottlebrush . Spectacular and profuse-flowering, the largest flower among all the bottlebrushes, with rich scarlet cylindrical brushes 25 cm (10") or more in length at the ends of its branches from early Spring through Summer. This produces long, forest green leaves . Spring to summer flowers are terminal, axillary, and crimson colored. Plant in neutral to acid, moderately fertile soil in full sun. This plant is tough and makes and excellent hedge. Size: Height: 6 ft. to 12 ft.Width: 3 ft. to 6 ft. USDA Hardiness Zone: 9 to 10 Other uses of Bottlebrush: A tan dye is obtained from the flowers, it does not require a mordant, and is green when mordanted. Other members of this genus can also be used. A cinnamon dye is obtained from the leaves. Other members of this genus can also be used. Wood - hard, heavy, tough, close grained, but too small for economic use. Used for tool handles etc. It is also used for fuel.
