Versos of pages 77-84 are unpaginated. Therefore there are actually 335 pages. This folio edition was printed for members of the Houses only and an octavo edition was published in the same year for public sale (Madan/Speck). Herny Sachervell was a High Church Anglican clergyman. He preached an incendiary 5 November sermon and gained nationwide fame. He was then impeached by the House of Commons and found guilty. He received a light punishment which was seen as a vindication. CONDITION In a half calf binding with cloth covered boards. Externally, generally smart.Tape repair to spine reinforcing the calf spine. Extremities are heavily rubbed. Mug rings to the rear board at the tail of board. Cloth to the rear board is cockled slightly. Rear hinge is strained resulting in final leaf being bound to the rear pastedown. Front hinge is also strained but firm. Front leaf has been bound to front pastedown due to repair, same as rear. Otherwise, internally firmly bound. Pages are age toned with spotting throughout.
