Description: Almost Uncirculated Bolivia Spanish Colonial cob silver 8 reales (dollar) coin.Struck 1754 during the short reign of King Ferdinand VI at the Potosi Mint (mint mark P, assayer C).Well struck on thick uneven planchet, approx 30 x 33mm.Two dates: (754, 54), one denomination (8), one mint mark (P) and two assayer letter (C).Dies clocked with coin rotation, quite rare as such.Certified by NGC to AU Excavation Recovery, part of the Cerro Rico Hoard (rich mountain). Slab has normal height and width, but thick holder to accommodate the thick coin flan.Well struck for this crude type, very nice in hand!
