Spine compartments delicately tooled with beautiful sunflower motif. Light wear to extremities with scuffing to joints and tips. Gilt remains bright and clean, albeit slightly rubbed at edges. All edge gilt. Gilt dentelles clean and bright. Silk French blue end papers slightly soiled with modest staining. Antiquarian library tag “186” on pastedown. Old hand ownership verso title. Small 1” tear at title gutter. Evidence of silk tabs, mostly missing from fore-edge. Free of known marginalia. Binding remains intact. Sound, but incomplete. Please see photos.
