The roles documented include Archbishops and Bishops, Political roles such as Lord Chamberlain, Military roles, such as Generals and Captains, offciers of states, as well as a list of noted Scottish and Irish Military and Political leaders. An extensive work this volume offers a useful index fort he study of Great Britain and Ireland from the 16th to the 18th century. CONDITION Hardback. Externally sound. Both the front and rear boards of detached but present, lacking the backstrip. Both boards as bumped and rubbed to the extremities . Lacking the front endpaper, with a minor crease to the rear endpaper. Internally generally firmly bound, with some very light straining in places. Pages are clean with some light age toning to the extremities of the pages, as to be expected with a volume of this age. The overall condition is affected by the detached boards as the text block itself in in very good condition.
