Description: Here's a crude early free blown blackglass liquor bottle that we dug in New Orleans from a "blackglass pool" that dated from the late 1700s to around 1820....no embossing.....Free blown, so it has no mold seams....deep sunken bottom which I assume is pontiled but has no roughness....crude applied double ring collar....dark olive green blackglass...10 1/4"tall...It has a hard to see 2"crack on side that is "invisible" unless held in the light at just the right angle; also has one small chip on top of lip; no other damage. A dug bottle with some rainbow irridescence on outside surface. We are going through boxes of old dug bottles trying to thin things out a bit, so you may want to keep an eye on our listings in coming days and weeks...lots of great treasures to be found!..... THIS IS A FIXED PRICE BOTTLE FOR SALE IN MY STORE. ....Free postage only if you live within the U.S.A.....Shipping charge is NOT fully included in the price if you live anywhere outside the United States.
