Brown leather boards which have minor marks and wear along the edges, particularly at the corners. Five raised bands with a burgundy title block, gilt lettering and gilt bands on the spine; there is wear along the hinges and a minor vertical crack. Very light foxing to endpapers and prelims with name of previous owner on the prelim. All pages are tight and the book is in very good condition indeed for its age. xxxvi, 386 pages.
