It has several deep gouges of damage and corroded/pitted surfaces on both sides as well as numerous hairline scratches. The coin does have a bend to it. Only part of the 5 is visible in the date, but it can be deduced with certainty to be a 5. Enough detail might remain to identify the Sheldon variety, but I do not own a reference guide to identify it.
