Description: Rare original antique 1796 copy of Graves' "A Pocket Conspectus of the London and Edinburgh Pharmacopoeias: Wherein the Virtues, Uses, and Doses of the several Articles and Preparations. are precisely stated, their Pronunciation as to Quantity is marked, and a Variety of other Particulars respecting them given, calculated more especially for the Use of Junior Practitioners." The book is overall in very good antiquarian condition with some minor signs of wear and age. There are some old scraps of paper with period handwritten notations tipped in between some of the pages and an old printed list of apothecary cabinet chemicals tipped in between the back endpapers. The covers have some mild wear and the binding is good and sound. The interior is lightly toned from age with some occasional scattered light foxing, soiling, and grubbiness. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of other imperfection such as a creased page corner, tiny chip or tear, minor stain, etc. Generally though, it's a nice copy. The book measures approximately 6 1/4 inches by 3 7/8 inches and is 112 pages long. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.
