Description: Welcome to Earlycoppercoins! I am the owner, Shawn A. Yancey, and I am a member of ANA and Early American Coppers, EAC #4647. I am pleased to offer the following item: From the New Cumberland Collection of 1793-1814 US large cents, complete by Sheldon Variety S-1 through S-295 including several NC varieties! NCC-119: 1796 S-114 Draped Bust, Reverse of 1797, R5-, EAC VF net VG. Very dark chocolate brown with light even porosity throughout. The details easily exceed VF, with full obverse details including bold rims, plus a very cool die crack extending from the rim into the top of T through the Y and then back out to the rim, which makes this late Noyes state A before the rim break left of the L in LIBERTY emerges as part of state B. The reverse is perfectly matched to the obverse in terms of color, granularity, and bold VF definition including, yet again, full rims. My EAC grade is Twenty net Eight. Ex-D&S Coins 03/05/96. Thank you for checking out this item! Make sure you add it to your watchlist and also subscribe to my eBay store to receive newsletters and promotions!
