Description: This beautiful cloth art doll is a one-of-a-kind collector toy atttibuted to Vicky Vanderhoof, whose proprietary label appears on her handmade dress. The 18" girl has tawny, waist- hair set in fat, luxurious sausage curls. Her wide, limpid eyes are painted a luminous French blue. She has a perfect, pouty , cupid's bow mouth, pale, arched brows and a warm, alabaster complexion. She reminds me so much of Dare Wright's Edith, the Lonely Doll, if you're familiar with that wistful little waif . Edith, of course, was created by Dare Wright as an homage to the cherished Lenci dolls of her youth. Perfectly turned out in proper Edwardian style, the winsome little miss wears a flower-strewn Empire-waist, polished cotton dress tied with a powder pink ribbon sash. The long-sleeved., gathered garment features a high-collared, lace-trimmed, embroidered front placket and cuffs with the most adorable tiny, working buttons. Undergarments include a ribknit camisole, panties and socks. Dress and undergarments are included in the sale. Hat is for styling purposes only and is not included. Lovingly crafted by the artist, the soft, handmade doll is in EUC with no rips, tears, holes, stains, fading or odors.
