It was Sheridan's first play, and is set in Bath, focusing on two young lovers.Also containing 'St Patrick's Day', 'The Duenna', 'A Trip to Scarborough', 'The Camp', 'The Critic' and 'Pizarro'.Richard Brinsley Sheridan (1751-1816) was an Irish playwright and poet, also known for owning the London Theatre Royal. He was honoured with burial at Poet's Corner in Westminster Abbey, and remembered for plays such as 'The Rivals', 'The Duenna' and 'A Trip to Scarborough'.This copy is two volumes in one, both bound without title pages. Externally generally smart; spine is discoloured as to be expected, with a little wear to the extremities and edges. Internally, generally firmly bound; front hinge is strained at the first page but remains firm. Pages are a little spotted.
