Description: Antique identified to reverse Lady "Elizabeth Gray Mowbray 1823" b.1/1/1823 - d.1899 in Bishop Wearmouth, blue eyed, blonde hair toddler child holding either a peach or orange in highly detailed lace gown and bonnet with black ribbons, hand painted miniature Watercolor painting on vellum. I can not find an artist signature but given the quality of the painting and status of Elizabeth it is undoubtedly painted by a master of his time. Inside metal frame has a WW impressed to reverse and is loose, no glass. Cover of folding frame is missing, measures 5" x 4 1/4" wide, photo colors do not do her alabaster pink complexion justice, excellent condition!
