Externally, generally smart, with some rubbing to the boards and spines. Minor bumping to the spines and extremities. A little loss to the front board of Volume I. A little chipping to the spine labels. Hinges of Volume I are starting but firm. Bound without half-titles and adverts. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned with some spots. Prior owner's ink inscription to the head of the title pages, and the first leaf of text to Volume I.
