Boards with rubbed gilt decoration and titling on the spine, gilt borders around the calf boards. There is some splotchiness on the page edges, presumably from age. Stiff blue marble endpapers front and back. Two blank endpaper leaves front and back. There is a small ink scribbling mark on first free blank endpaper. No further marks in 606 clean and solidly bound pages, followed by a 2-page Contents section. STEEL ENGRAVED ILLUSTRATIONS THROUGHOUT - examples shown in listing photos. Light foxing on pages throughout, but light only, very clear text, no page tears. B28
