South! A great find from a local New England estate! This antique volume is over 186 years old! In nice condition overall! Original publisher cloth binding shows some rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, some general wear around the extremities including bumping to the corners and fraying and loss to the spine extremes, and some soiling and spotting to the page edges. Otherwise this is a well-preserved antique volume! The gilt title lettering on the spine can still be read despite moderate rubbing. Internally, this volume is in good shape overall. Both boards and all page groupings remain attached to the binding, though the rear hinge shows moderate cracking. Volume feels tight. There are no bookplates, signatures, inscriptions or library markings to note. The text block of this volume is very clean overall. There is some typical age-related toning to the pages, some light soiling in spots, as well as some gentle corner creasing and page wrinkling, but otherwise this volume is quite clean and remains perfectly readable throughout!
