Description: An authentic VF details example of 1838 N-16 R5-. The important details such as the upward pointed browlock and the broken right arm of the N in CENT are clear enough to be certain of identification. Surfaces though are not smooth but still a decent appearance to the naked eye with a pleasing steel brown brown color. N-16 was the great rarity of the 1980's with only a few known and having immense value. This example could be used for comparison with a run of 1838 cents to search for another finer N-16.
