Description: Lovely and Very Hard-to-Find Flow Blue Polychrome or Gaudy Welsh Brushstroke Child's Waste Bowl Decorated with Red Dahlia Flowers. Likely from a Child's Tea Set given its size (see 5th photo of this Waste Bowl next to two other Child's Waste Bowls, one being Doulton). Unmarked, but very possibly Bailey & Ball, Longton, Staffordshire, England given the strong similarity of the Pattern to others produced by this Potter – c. 1845. The Brushstroke pattern has Impatient-type Red Flowers and Buds with Green & Flow Blue Leaves. Also some Scrolls designs interspersed. Copper Luster further accents the Flow Blue Leaves, Rim and Footed Base. The Waste Bowl is in very good condition with just a ¼” tight hairline stemming from its Rim. Also some minor loss to the hand-applied Polychrome Glaze. Crazing is present which, of course, is commonly found on these pieces given how they were made. Measures 3 ¼” in height. 4 ½” across the rim.
