Description: This rare find is a first edition hardcover book titled "1845 History of Wyoming, Series of Letters from Charles Miner PENNSYLVANIA w MAP". This particular copy was owned by John Morgan, who may have been a member of J.P. Morgan’s dynastic family which gained much of their wealth from the Pennsylvania oil fields. It offers a unique insight into early American (US) history and includes beautiful illustrations. The book was printed in the United States in 1845 and will make an excellent addition for any collector of antiquarian and collectible books. A small piece on the spine is missing at the top right corner and some minor discoloration can be seen on the front cover of the book (see photos). The binding is sturdy and intact, and the book comes with a very RARE map of Wyoming (New England) which includes all or partial illustrations of Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Long Island and New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Ohio. We are leaving the book in its condition as originally purchased to allow the buyer to restore as buyer feels is warranted. Get your hands on this gem before it's gone! Thanks for looking and good luck!
