Description: Scarce 1850s Cincinnati, Ohio stampless cover, drop rate, with integral "1 paid" rate in red CDS. This was normally used for circulars and quite scarce as a drop rate marking. Unfortunately, it's an envelope with no content, has heavy soiling, and is really a split front and back, with a ding out at top for good measure (other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?).
