Original publisher cloth binding shows just light wear as pictured, including rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, general wear around the extremities including bumping to the corners and spine extremes, and rubbing and soiling to the page edges. The gilt title lettering to the spine displays nicely from the shelf. A very well-preserved antique volume! Internally, this volume is in great shape as well, with both boards attached to the binding and all page groupings secure. Ex-library volume with bookplates and library markings visible to the front and rear endpapers, as well as the title page, copyright page and dedication page.
