A great find from a local New England estate! This scarce antique volume is over 169 years old! First edition. Ex-library. In great condition overall! Tight, square and clean! Original publisher cloth binding shows just light wear as pictured, including rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, general wear around the extremities including bumping to the corners and spine extremes, and rubbing and soiling to the page edges. The gilt title lettering to the spine displays nicely from the shelf. A very well-preserved antique volume! Internally, this volume is in great shape as well, with both boards attached to the binding and all page groupings secure. Ex-library volume with bookplates and library markings visible to the front and rear endpapers, as well as the title page, copyright page and dedication page. Otherwise this volume is clean and free from signatures and inscriptions. The text block of this volume is clean throughout. Although there is some typical age-related toning to the pages, as well as some general corner creasing, page wrinkling, light soiling and foxing scattered throughout, and light markings in the margins in the general index, this volume is perfectly readable throughout! Make sure to see the additional photos in the description below for a thorough look through this antique tome! 322 pages.
