Description: This stunning Colton's 1856 pocket map includes the states of Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin and parts of Minnesota and Pennsylvania. Noted are railroads, towns, rivers, roads, and several Indian nations. An impressive map with wonderful hand coloring, an elaborate floral border and five engraved vignettes, including views of Cincinnati, Louisville, and St. Louis. Map measures: 34 1/2" x 41". Gold-stamped embossed board "folder" measures: 6 1/4" x 4 1/2". Condition: Map has the standard small separations at the junction of several folds. Otherwise very good with strong colors; boards are worn at extremities. Shipping Notes: We ship same day via USPS upon receipt of payment before 3 PM.
