A scarce piece on the Harmony Society, a Christian theosophical society that relocated to western Pennsylvania after persecution in Germany in the late 18th Century. Founded by George Rapp (1757-1847), the sect developed and grew in the Untied States, and founded model communities in modern-day Harmony, New Harmony, and Economy (now Ambridge).
