Description: 1870/80's Family Photo Cabinet Card? Antique Gold Tone Wood Frame Lyons, NY 14" 14 1/8” x 12 1/4” x 2” 2 lb 10 oz Fabulous old family photograph with lovely gold toned wooden frame. On the back there is a label that reads "We Believe This to be: H.C. Hemmingway and Family Lyons, N.Y." Lyons, established in 1794, is close to here and is a very old Erie Canal town. H.C. Hemmingway and his family are likely listed in historical records from the mid to late 1800's in Lyons. I don't know the exact date of this photo but judging from the fashion I'm guessing 1870's/80's. I'm guessing it's a cabinet card but please use your own judgement. The image is clear and the frame is exquisite with the wood backing you would expect with an antique piece like this. There is wear to the matting and frame. The photograph looks good for it's age with just some tiny spots that could be foxing but I did not take it out of the frame to examine it. Please see the pictures for condition detail.
