Description: Original circa 1870's-1880's large tintype of a herd of sheep in a pen on a farm. We are estimating that perhaps over a hundred sheep might be in the herd. Three people are standing next to the pen. Measures 6 3/8 inches by 4 3/16 inches. This large size of this tintype is in between a half plate size & a full plate size. Has some minor age flaws which are commonly found on most tintypes including some small bends, some minor surface wear & aging, & some light surface rust on the back. This interesting photo came from an old Pennsylvania collection of tintypes which was formed over several decades. Please examine the photos closely & purchase based on your own judgement as to condition & value. This item is inventory #9918.
