Description: Rare original 1872 copy of "Gen. Tom Thumb's Three Years' Tour Around the World: Accompanied by his Wife, Lavinia Warren Stratton, Commodore Nutt, Miss Minnie Warren, and Party." The book is in overall good condition with some signs of wear and age. It is softcover and bound in its original paper wrappers which have some small chips and tears. The binding is good and sound. There are some chips and tears to the frontispiece and an archival tissue repair to the top margin of its backside. There are also some small marginal tears to the text. The text was printed on thin, cheap paper which has become fragile with age; care should be taken when flipping through the pages. Along with that there may be the occasional page with some other kind of minor imperfection such as a light bit of foxing, soiling or grubbiness, small chip, creased page corner, etc. Generally though, it's a good copy. The book measures approximately 7 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 inches and is 144 pages long with some woodcut illustrations. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.
