Description: Here we have a very early antique original 45 pp booklet, "Report of the Railroad Commissioners of the State of Maine for the Year 1872." Augusta: Sprague, Owen & Nash, printers to the State, 1873. Fascinating read, with a long, heartbreaking section detailing all of the accidents occurring that year. Working for the railroad was an incredibly dangerous job, and many lives were lost. Interior is free of marks and stains and is easily readable with clear, bold text. No text lost with the chipped and missing corners. We consider funky odors (cigarette smoke, mildew, etc) to be an important part of a condition report.
