Description: Almost 200 years old! This book was published in America when we were only 98 years old as a country. large hardback covers are embossed and gilded, the spine is also. Binding is secure and tight, cover hinges are showing their age but holding. Pages are all in great shape, I saw no tears or markings inside. I did find a pressed fern leaf that is clearly very old and I left it inside. There is a lot of water mark and spotting but, pages are not brittle and acid damaged, they are very soft and flexible. It’s full of very fine engravings with tissue paper slips over them. Great antique religious book! Displays wonderfully too!
