Spontaneous Anarchy & The Constituent Assembly, published by Daldy, Ibister, & Co. in 1878.Volume II. The Jacobin Conquest, published by Sampson Low, Marston, Searle, & Rivington in 1881.Volume III. Establishment of the Revolutionary Government, The Jacobin Programme, The Governors, The Governed, The End of the Revolutionary Government, published by Sampson Low, Marston, Searle, & Rivington in 1885. Volume III is lacking the title page.This set was previously housed at the Napoleonic Library, Carisbrooke House, Twickenham Park, and library stamps can be found on the half title page of each volume. CONDITION In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart, with some light shelf wear and bumping to the head and tail of the spines and extremities. Small tidemark to the bottom left corner of the front board to Volume I. Library stamps to the half title pages of each volume. Internally, hinges to Volume I and rear hinge to Volume II, are strained. Hinges to Volume III and front hinge to Volume II have been reinforced. Slight bit of age toning to the first few pages of Volume III, and a few spots to the first few pages of Volume I, otherwise pages are generally bright and clean. Overall Condition: Very Good GLOSSARY OF TERMS Overall Condition (Dustwrapper condition rating is shown after that for the book itself, where a dustwrapper is present) Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear Very Good Indeed - Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy Very Good - Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy Good - Meaning not very good.
