It is made of white metal and has been circulated. The medal features the society's initials, along with the words "Pittsburgh Exposition" and "Western Pennsylvania Numismatic Society" on the front. The back of the medal features a wreath design with the words "Founded 1878". This piece is a unique addition to any coin or medal collection and is a must-have for those interested in the history of numismatics in the United States.
