Description: Here's an interesting cover from the Chemical Company of Canton in Baltimore Maryland. It was franked with a 3-cent Green Washington banknote. It was cancelled with a Circular Date Stamp and cork killer. The postal clerk must've noticed that the time slug was actually put into the CDS upside down. After fixing it, they applied a second strike of the cancelling device to the left with the time slug the correct way around. Not sure I've ever seen a cover that captured such an artifact before. Unsealed backflap.
