This book was sold only by Distributing Agents. Published in Portland, Maine by H. Hallett and Company, 1882. Book is very thick with 640 pages! Book features a very attractive binding with gold and black designs and lettering. Covers securely attached with no cracking or splitting of hinges. Some general wear to binding but in overall very good condition. All pages are tightly bound. The pages have gilt edge on all three edges. There is a moisture stain to the two of the first three pages (one of which is blank and the other is the frontis). No writing in book at all and no signs of previous ownership. The full page steel engravings are protected by a tissue guard. The tissue guards have foxing and the foxing is also on some areas of the engravings. Book is in overall very good condition!
