Description: Please read .... I initially purchased this stamp without doing thorough research. I assumed it was the 1879 issue of the 5 shillings Tobago stamp. Upon further research, and, as pictured, seeing the 'Crown CA' watermark, I discovered this is a later issue of the same slate grey 5/ Tobago stamp, but these issues were used as revenue stamps. Issued in 1884, I believe. The grade is very fine, used, and with a nice 'A14' cancellation. Perforations and the grey colouring are excellent. The 'Crown CA' watermark is clearly visible. There's a trace of a previous hinge on the reverse but it's not heavy. Price wise I really have no idea. I found widely varying prices when I searched for this stamp once I'd discovered it was a revenue issue. With that in mind I've set the buy it now price near to what I paid for it. Somebody could be getting a nice bargain, or not, but I'll simply be happy if this stamp finds a good home. My failure to research properly means I don't need this stamp for my personal collection. It happens. Please have a look at the photos. *** Free UK 'Tracked 48' postage. *** J24b
