Description: Antique handwritten letter written on December 10, 1885 from Henry A. Boggs to J. King McLanahan. Henry A. Boggs was a Pennsylvania State Senator and J. King McLanahan owned a foundry. The letter was letting Mr. McLanahan know that Mr. Boggs had sent a certificate of deposit for $155 for electioneering work done for his 1884 election campaign. The paper measures approximately 7 7/8" x 10 7/8". Some minor wear along the edges of the paper with the lower left corner being dog-eared. No rips or tears noted.
