Original publisher cloth binding shows wear as pictured, including a library catalog sticker on the spine, the remnants of a library sticker visible on the front board, rubbing, soiling and toning to the boards and spine, general wear around the extremities including light bumping to the corners and spine extremes, and rubbing and soiling to the page edges. Otherwise this is an attractive, well-preserved antique volume! The gilt title lettering on the spine displays nicely from the shelf. Internally, this volume is in good shape overall. Both boards and all page groupings remain attached to the binding. This is an ex-library volume with bookplates and library markings visible to the front and rear endpapers and fly pages, as well as the title page and copyright page. Otherwise this volume is clean and free from signatures and inscriptions. The text block of this volume is very clean throughout. There is typical age-related toning to the pages, as well as light foxing and soiling throughout, and some general light edge wear in the margins, but otherwise this volume is clean and free from rips, tears, writing and markings. Perfectly readable throughout! Nicely illustrated throughout.
