Description: From a recent Boston area estate sale. Offered is an 1890s Victorian advertising trade card from The Krell Piano Company of Cincinnati, OH.Research shows this piano company was located in Cincinnati from 1889-1900. Measures approx. 5-3/4" x 3-1/2". This is printed on thin paper instead of the customary heavy stock so I amazed that it has survived 125+ years! When you hold to light, as instructed on the front, an optical illusion is created: what is printed on the backcomes forward to the front to reveal a man playing the piano to an adoring crowd! Condition: Unused but due to its old ages I am marking it as "used." I only see one tiny 1/4" tear at the top edge. FINAL SALE. Will come in an archival plastic sleeve to preserve it. If you buy other trade cards or postcards, wait for me to send you an invoice with combined shipping. Thanks for looking and please check out my other auctions!
